Clean Sweep
A team from Hythe & District Rotary Club
gave up a Sunday morning lie-in after the clocks went forward, to do a bit
of Spring cleaning in the New
Forest .
The volunteers undertook a
‘litter-pick’ on the roads around Beaulieu, wielding bin bags
and long-handled grabbers with great enthusiasm. One team tackled the
roadside on the hill between Beaulieu
Village and Hilltop, while the
rest cleared the heathland verges along the road
from The Heath to the Royal Oak
The Rotary Club’s efforts were part of
the annual Forest Clean Up Campaign jointly
promoted by New Forest District Council, the Forestry Commission and New
Forest National Park Authority.
