Craft Fair

Hythe & District Rotary Club’s first ever Arts & Crafts Fair was a great success. Held at Hythe & Dibden Community Centre, the event brought together almost 30 local artists and craftspeople to showcase their work to the public.

Among the high quality work on display and for sale was everything from woodturning to watercolours, ceramics to silk scarf painting, and floral arrangements to photography. There was also a range of  parchment craft, stained glass designs, pop art, and jewellery, giving an interesting variety of displays that attracted many favourable comments from visitors.

Hythe’s new Town Crier, Graham McLaren, and his escort Dawn, were out and about in Hythe village centre letting shoppers know that the event was taking place, and made an impressive sight in their distinctive costumes.

The event  raised over £300 for charities supported by Hythe & District Rotary Club.
